Purpose of the role:
Our client is looking for 5 Trust Officers to join their busy team! To accomplish results through the management of trust client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all accounts are administered efficiently and in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures, legal requirements, governing instruments and with the highest level of client service
- Communicate effectively with internal and external clients and their advisors on all trust and company matters
- Represent the trust business both internally to Bankers and product partners, and externally to ultra-high net worth clients, prospects and advisors
- Assist with the review of new business opportunities in conjunction with their Business Review team and opine on specific trust issues as appropriate
- Participate in internal audits and external regulatory exams, and in Risk Management Committees
Skills required:
- 6 + years of experience, including experience in Trust and Company management and Administration
- STEP qualification. Qualification in law, finance, or accounting would be an asset
- Proven experience in the trust officer role; and/or strong subject matter expert knowledge and proven technical proficiency in the investment, legal and tax issues relative to Trust and/or Company management
- Strong communication and proven presentation skills
- Foreign languages would be an asset
- Bachelor's/University degree
