Purpose of the role:
To provide support to the Tax Team by assisting with the UK and Jersey tax compliance obligations of individuals, Trust & Company structures.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of relevant tax paperwork in association with the tax returns such as summaries of income for tax purposes and dividend vouchers
- Drafting letters and internal memos, where relevant, to provide details of the present tax position of the entity
- Drafting requests for payments of tax liabilities from clients and internal staff for Tax Senior or Tax Manager to approve
- Processing Capital Gains calculations using basic CGT knowledge
Skills required:
- Confidence with numbers would be beneficial
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and applications, particularly Word, Excel and Access
- Willing to or already studying towards Association of Taxation Technicians and/or the Chartered Institute of Tax
- Minimum level of education at A level, or with some prior experience in tax
- Organisational skills, to complete work in an accurate and timely fashion
