Purpose of the role:
Our client is looking for someone who has an interest in supporting individuals to flourish, and in helping Managers gain confidence in coaching their teams and leading positive career development conversations for the benefit of the individual and the firm as a whole.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of Talent & Development to shape the framework for developing our global Legal teams at all stages in their career, ensuring a steady stream of future senior Lawyers and partners
- Contribute to the Legal talent pipeline development process, coaching individuals and working with senior leaders to enable succession planning and candidate readiness
- Work with peers in the Talent & Development team providing development support for other areas of the business to ensure a seamless, co-ordinated approach to development firmwide
- Work closely with senior stakeholders in the Legal teams to assess training needs and define the content of core programmes
- Ensure that programmes have defined learning objectives and are designed in a way that is engaging, meets the needs of the learners, and takes into account their global reach
Skills required:
- Experience operating in a legal or professional services background, and familiar with the needs of an international, fee-earning environment
- Familiar with legal career paths, routes to qualification, and appropriate external qualifications
- Proven advisory and consultancy skills with a business partner approach to identifying organisational training needs
- Skilled at design and facilitation of in-person and online development activities, and managing effective supplier partnerships
- Ideally qualified in one of more psychometric tools (Hogan an advantage)
