Purpose of the role
The Jersey Trust department of the business is a team of qualified and experienced professional trust and corporate administrators and accountants that create, manage, and administer structures servicing the wealth succession needs of private clients and family offices. To be responsible for a complex portfolio of clients so as to ensure that a high level of service is given to clients in accordance with relevant mandates so that operational and fiduciary risk exposures are effectively managed.
Assist and support the designated Client Director including the management of operational projects within the team.
Will actively work to ensure that the Jersey Trust Department meets its Financial Objectives in line with Financial Plans.
May have line management responsibility for a number of administration staff.
Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for all aspects of management of a portfolio of trust and company structures.
- To provide assistance and support to the designated Client Director with the management of operational projects.
- To ensure the company meets its Regulatory, Risk and procedure requirements. Ensure that clients are administered in line with the business risk management framework, structure specific and fiduciary risks are mitigated as appropriate. Comply with all local regulatory requirements (law, codes of practice and guidance), Group and local policies and procedures relevant to the department;
Skills required
- The post holder must be an experienced and qualified professional with a minimum of 10 years' management practice of Trust and Fiduciary services including an understanding of business development, operational and financial activities.
- A focus on quality service delivery supported by commercial sense so as to identify and anticipate business opportunities, weaknesses and strengths to be able to develop appropriate initiatives that link the business with broader company initiatives within the group and into new areas through professional intermediaries and other contacts.
- The post holder is expected to maintain an awareness of industry best practice and developments in other jurisdictions so that the range of services offered to client is continually reviewed.
