Purpose of the role:
To co-ordinate and carry out the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of clients, under the supervision of the Associate Director. The role is only suitable for a candidate with current, practical, and technical bookkeeping and accounting experience.
Responsibilities:
- Administering the affairs of a portfolio of trusts and companies for high-net-worth clients in different jurisdictions
- Dealing with a varied range of client queries/projects
- Communicating with clients and intermediaries by email, letter and telephone
- Applying internal risk management procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Dealing with external compliance requests
- Reviewing UK and Jersey tax returns prepared by in-house Tax Team. Adjusting year-end financial accounts for tax provisions
- Completing the bookkeeping on all clients within the portfolio
Skills required:
- You must have a minimum of 3-5 years practical experience in the completion of bookkeeping and accounts in a private client trust and company accounting environment
- Part ACCA/ACA/ICSA qualified, currently studying or qualified by relevant experience
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting standards (FRS102 and IFRS)
- Strong analytical skills and accuracy are essential
- Ability to be organised and proactive, with very close attention to detail to ensure work is of a consistently high standard
