Purpose of the role:
To provide support to the Regulatory Reporting Manager in ensuring full and accurate compliance with AEOI reporting requirements for the Channel Islands businesses, establishing, implementing and adhering to best practices and having an active role in suggesting and making improvements to the processes.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring AEOI due diligence, applying reasonableness checks and liaising with Service Delivery teams to ensure all AEOI due diligence is collected, satisfactory and logged
- Data input, reconciliation and remediation with a view to improving and maintaining data integrity for AEOI reporting purposes
- Review and advise Service Delivery and other support teams on the completion of outgoing AEOI due diligence (for account openings & similar)
- Assist with FATCA & CRS classifications of client entities, ensure the approval process is followed and act as gatekeeper for the data entry and quality
- Assist with the applications for GIIN registrations and other tax portal registrations
- Maintain and reconcile the register of GIINs and other tax portal accounts
- Assist in monitoring and managing communications from the tax authorities
- Work with other support teams to ensure all AEOI policies and procedures are fully implemented and adhered to
