Purpose of the role:
Our client is looking for a self-motivated individual who is able to work under their own initiative and with the minimum of supervision providing pre-sales engagement with customers, consultancy and 3rd line support to their ever-increasing customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-sales engagement with customers to design and deploy firewall based managed services
- Provide TDA consultancy
- Provide 3rd Line support on ad-hoc basis
- Attend and present at customer technical workshops and sales opportunities sessions
- Assist with qualification of designs and opportunities
- Escalations for client problems will be allocated by the SOC lead and/or SOC Operations Desk
Skills required:
- Able to troubleshoot internet connectivity (ping, traceroute, nslookup, ACL’s)
- Understand domain/dc/DNS/DHCP relationship
- Understand NAT/PAT and relation to inbound/outbound internet connectivity
- Basic wireless troubleshooting (PSK mismatch, 802.1x types/mismatch)
