Purpose of the role:
Reporting directly to the Director, Compliance Advisory EMEA, you will work closely with the Jersey businesses and with R&C colleagues both within the EMEA Advisory team and the Group R&C function more broadly.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a significant contribution to the strategic direction of the firm on risk and compliance matters
- Lead and oversee the successful delivery of compliance projects ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business driven approach
- Work closely with the business areas to ensure that effective compliance systems, procedures and controls are in place to support the effective management of regulatory compliance risk
- Ensure continuing compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and deadlines across multiple jurisdictions
- Support the Boards and Senior Management of the Jersey entities in maintaining compliance with all regulatory and legal obligations affecting the firms
- Ensure Boards and senior management remain informed of regulatory, legislative and best practice changes and their obligations under these changes and how they impact the regulated entities
Skills required:
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in similar roles with an exemplary record of performance
- Will hold a recognised and relevant professional qualification
- Thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to TCB and FSB business in Jersey
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to influence and inform and to challenge constructively where necessary
- Good analytical and organisational skills and ability to prioritise work load and meet tight deadlines
