Purpose of the role:

To carry out the functions of risk management with emphasis on ensuring that the business operates within all required legislation, regulations, and Group directives.

Responsibilities:

• To provide oversight, support, guidance, and advice to the Jersey Trust business with respect to all compliance and regulatory matters
• Ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are in place in respect of the Jersey Trust Business to comply with relevant law, regulation, and Group requirements
• Provide input and direction into new or changed procedures, in order to meet best practice and regulatory requirements, and drive improvements in efficiency, across the Jersey Trust business
• Training staff on compliance and regulatory issues as required
• Lead responsibility and oversight of annual reviews
• Ensuring the company’s procedures are implemented and standards met
• Responsibility for the oversight of all internal and external auditors’ visits; to at least include pre-visit preparation, liaison and on-site oversight, and coordination of any resultant activity
