Purpose of the role:
Responsible for the design, maintenance, monitoring and ongoing improvement of talent programs, policies and procedures in relation to learning, career development and succession planning in order to identify and plan for career progression routes of employees and develop and execute appropriate learning plans for career and competency development.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Group Directors, other senior team members and HRBPs to actively manage talent planning information to help identify critical talent, while supporting the retention and accelerated progression of those capable of excelling
- Succession planning and talent pipeline planning (identified as part of risk assessments)
- Evaluate all the Academy talent and succession activities in order to identify patterns or trends and communicate these to HR colleagues or managers as appropriate
- Work closely with Group HR and relevant HRBPs on talent and succession initiatives for their respective jurisdictions and teams
- Provide key HR support in acquisitions and other large scale project work particularly with the on boarding and induction of new employees
Skills required:
- Experience of working in Learning and Development with a sound understanding of current practice in Talent and Succession Planning
- Experience of working with Talent identification and development techniques and approaches
- CIPD Qualified or working towards
- Experience of managing the performance of a team
