Purpose of the role:
Our client is looking for an initiative-taking individual who can work under their own initiative and with the minimum of supervision providing 1st,2nd, and 3rd line support, as well as operating as part of team to provide consultative and architectural skills to their ever-increasing customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Service calls for client problems will be allocated by the Response Desk
- Working with other departments for resolution of client problems
- Project work for installation of new equipment/solutions for customers
- Network and Security consultancy for various sized clients, across multiple industries
- You will be required to be part of a 24 x 7 support rota
Skills required:
- Knowledge and experience of networks from Layer1 services to network services and protocols (DNS, VPN IPSEC/SSL, TCP/IP, OSPF/BGP/EIGRP)
- Experience working with OT/SCADA/Control networks
- Internet connectivity - PPPoE, PPPoA, IP Feed, DIA
- Strong knowledge and experience of FortiGate/Cisco networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless), Aruba wireless/switching/security experience would be a distinct advantage, but training will be provided as part of their professional development
- Hold several recognised vendor certifications e.g.: CCNP (Enterprise/Security/Wireless), ACCP, ACMP, ACSP, ECSE, NSE4/5/6/7
