Purpose of the role:
We have a great role for a Senior Fund Accountant to be responsible for financial reporting requirements; with particular focus on providing the highest quality of customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage risk on a day to day basis for client relationships in line with the 3 lines of defence model with applicable guidance from senior management and escalate issues in a timely manner as appropriate
- Instil an environment of full compliance to policies & procedures
- Provide feedback in a timely manner
- Have regular 1-2-1s with line manager
- Working within a team on all aspects of accounting and reporting to ensure the team and client servicing aspects are run efficiently
- Prepare financial statement for a wide range of client structure and differing complexity to relevant accounting standards (IFRS, FRS 102, US GAAP)
- Assistance in maintenance of team specific accounts preparation and status monitoring reports and exception reports to help monitor and report the status of accounts exceptions for cases addressed both internally and externally
- Preparation of various investor reporting deliverables and requests such as capital statements, assistance in financial information for UK tax and K-1 form, ILPA statements, among others
- Identify and execute accounting requirements set out in establishment documents, offering memorandum, side letters and other similar documents
- Compile a full file of working papers for all financial statements prepared
- Attend client meeting in respect of accounting matters as required
- Assist with investor queries and the delivery of investor statements to include quarterly distributions and NAV production
- Have an excellent understanding of your portfolio
- Executive client service offering, ensure excellent service levels and escalate delivery issues to senior management, provide initial solutions to challenges
- Ownership of client requests, ensure all requests are complete in line with client expectations
Skills required:
- ACA/ACCA qualified
- Minimum of three years’ experience in financial services industry
- Strong technical knowledge
- Investran experience preferable
- Proficient user of Excel
- Energy and a 'can do' attitude
- Proven strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to motive and influence direct report(s)
