Purpose of the role:
Assist the Manager in the client accounts preparation function in the preparation of year end and interim financial statements together with other financial reporting for a wide range of fund clients with additional involvement in systems projects where applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of interim and year-end financial statements prepared under IFRS, FRS 102, and other accounting standards as required
- Preparation of management accounts and financial reporting
- Preparation of client audit packs and involvement with audit engagement
- Administration support for internal systems, including the addition of new ledgers and transactions
- Provide support for client teams in the migration of data to Investran, ensuring accuracy of client financial information and identifying process improvement where applicable
- To ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements at all times
- Any ad hoc operational duties as required by the Firm
Skills required:
- Part Qualified/Newly Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification
- Experience in Preparation of financial statements is desirable
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102 standards required and experience of Lux GAAP and other standards desirable
- Strong IT skills, always being ahead of new technologies, knowledge of Investran is preferable
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, with excellent attention to detail
- Good flexibility, with the ability to work to time pressure
- Strong analytical and organisational skills are essential
