Purpose of the role:
You will make a significant contribution to the business, holding responsibility and autonomy for working within the Risk and Compliance team.
Responsibilities:
- Review and sign off new business from an AML/Risk/Compliance perspective
- Responsible for ongoing effective compliance/transactional monitoring in accordance with regulatory and business requirements for client entities
- To ensure that comprehensive AML/CFT arrangements are in place in accordance principally with Jersey Legislative framework and the AML Codes of Conduct
- To define strategy and develop policies to ensure robust arrangements for compliance with applicable legislation
- Maintaining the firm's enterprise and AML business risk assessment and associated strategies
- Ensuring that the internal policy and procedures manual is maintained to ensure compliance with the regulatory and legislative framework in Jersey
- Maintain a record of all requests for information from law enforcement authorities and documents relating to all internal and external SARs following
- To assist in managing certain vital aspects of the firm's relationships with the JFCU, ECCU, (as appropriate)
Skills required:
- Professional qualification (ICA Diploma or equivalent)
- A willingness and desire to progress and hold the key person roles within the business
- Relevant expertise and comprehensive technical knowledge of corporate governance, compliance and risk management
- Solution driven with a practical and commercial approach
- Strong leadership and management skills including planning and project management
- Excellent communication skills across all levels with strong diplomacy and negotiation proficiencies
