About the role:
Our latest opportunity is for a senior client accountant to join our accounting services division from either the Jersey or London office and be part of our growing team.
Responsibilities:
- The primary responsibility will be to develop and implement core accounting & tax compliance services, including the preparation of financial statements, complete bookkeeping and preparation and submission of relevant UK tax returns.
- Preparing and ensuring procedures and controls are maintained and followed at all times
- Preparing client management accounts
- Routine month end / quarter end management accounts preparation for a portfolio of clients
- Preparing annual Financial Statements for a portfolio of clients
Skills, knowledge & experience:
- We're looking for a qualified accountant with a few years' post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a high degree of numeracy and analytical thinking supported by a proactive and positive attitude.
- We're keen to see candidates with a highly diligent and organised approach to work, ideally with previous experience in a client facing role. Experience within a Real Estate and/or Debt Capital Market environment is also desirable.
- You must have a solid grasp of UK VAT & corporation tax legislation and be confident to interpret said legislation for the purpose of preparing client tax filings and developing policies and procedures.
