Purpose of the role:
As the Senior Client Accountant, you will be responsible for the management of an agreed portfolio of complex key clients to produce financial statements, management accounts and other financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate completion/checking of bookkeeping entries as required for a portfolio of key complex client entities
- Manage a portfolio of complex key clients for production of quarterly management accounts, annual accounts to review stage with full working papers and supporting documentation
- Assist with ad hoc accounting/bookkeeping requests as required from time to time
- Complete all required balance sheet reconciliations as required including bank reconciliations, asset valuations and intercompany reconciliations and checks
- Ensuring the correct treatment of VAT or other sales taxes in clients ledgers where required
- Ensure accuracy of information supplied and that it is prepared within agreed deadlines
Skills required:
- Working towards a JFSC Category B, Table 4/5 qualification, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ financial service experience
- Sound practical understanding of and ability to apply the key principles of current applicable IFRS 102 Financial Reporting Standards
- Demonstrate successful relevant experience at a high level in a similar role
- Have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of trust administration and Jersey Company Law and the ability to remain up to date with appropriate legislation and professional standards
