Purpose of the role:
As a Senior Associate, you will be able to work independently and as part of the wider team and effectively manage files with minimal input from partner or other senior fee earners, taking responsibility for day to day matter management end to end, re-prioritising as required to meet client and partner expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure clients are fully informed as to the fees and disbursements that will incurred on each matter and provide updates as required
- Be accountable for the coaching and development of more junior members of staff, including the supervision of trainees as and when required
- Identify and pursue peer to peer business development opportunities, including opportunities for cross referrals.
Skills required:
- Qualified Lawyer with typically 5+ years of PQE, with an excellent academic background, including 2:1 at degree, plus Commendation/Distinction at LPC (or equivalent).
- Experience from a relevant law firm environment, ideally within a Magic/Silver Circle firm (or equivalent) demonstrating good, consistent performance over the last two financial years, prior Jersey experience ideal but not essential.
- Excellent drafting and written communication skills.
