Purpose of the role:
To carry out the functions of risk management with emphasis on ensuring that the business operates within all required legislation and regulation; with responsibility for including but not limited to monitoring required under compliance monitoring programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that at least on an annual basis effective risk based monitoring programmes are prepared and approved by the relevant client boards
- Conduct, within planned timeframes, all monitoring scheduled under the approved monitoring programmes for Jersey Regulated clients
- Ensure, by effective tracking and monitoring, that any findings or recommendations arising out of monitoring reports are concluded within agreed timeframes escalating overdue items as necessary
- Providing effective and comprehensive reporting of, inter alia, progress against plan, all monitoring activity undertaken, and status of outstanding actions
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting for client entities
- Assist with the investigation of AML and sanctions alerts, escalating where appropriate
