Purpose of the role:
To be part of an Accounting team and be responsible for all aspects of the financial reporting work assigned for the Accounting team. The role will include liaising closely with individual Administration team members to ensure timely production of high quality accounts and responses to ad-hoc client queries.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for an allocated portfolio of clients and prepare annual financial statements, management accounts and other ad-hoc financial reporting from the accounting records of the client entities as maintained by the Administrator or Bookkeeper
- Post through PMG/Xero and Excel final bookkeeping entries and workings required to produce financial reporting and perform year end ledger close-down procedures
- Liaise with the appointed Auditors to complete the audit of financial statements in accordance with defined timetables
- Liaise with clients to ensure efficient delivery of output and client service expectations
- Provide additional bookkeeping and administrative assistance to other members of the Accounting and Administration teams as may from time to time be requested
- Provide support to the Accounting team on policies and processes to enable the team to work more efficiently
Skills required:
- You will hold an appropriate accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA/ACA) or be suitably qualified by virtue of relevant experience
- Finance industry and/or Accounting/Auditing experience within or with exposure to the private clients and family office environment is essential
- Significant experience of preparing trust accounts, especially for real estate and financial instruments holding structures and accounting at asset holding level
- Comprehensive knowledge of current IFRS/UK GAAP (FRS 102) reporting and experience in accounting for a range of private clients and family office structures
- Experience with Access, CaseWare and Value Financials would be desirable
