Purpose of the role:
To be part of the Accounting team and be responsible for all aspects of the financial reporting work assigned to the Accounting team
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for an allocated portfolio of clients and prepare annual financial statements, management accounts and other ad-hoc financial reporting from the accounting records of the client entities as maintained by the Administrator or Bookkeeper
- Post through PMG/Xero and Excel final bookkeeping entries and workings required to produce financial reporting and perform year end ledger close-down procedures
- Liaise with the appointed Auditors to complete the audit of financial statements in accordance with defined timetables
- Liaise with clients to ensure efficient delivery of output and client service expectations
- Provide additional bookkeeping and administrative assistance to other members of the accounting and administration teams as may from time to time be requested
- Provide support to the accounting management team on policies and procedures to enable the team to work more efficiently
Skills required:
- You will hold appropriate accounting qualifications (e.g. ACCA/ACA) or be suitably qualified by virtue of relevant experience
- Finance Industry and or Accounting/Auditing experience within or with exposure to the private clients and family office environment is essential
- Significant experience of preparing trust accounts, especially for real estate and financial instruments holding structures and accounting at asset holding level
- Comprehensive knowledge of current IFRS/UK GAAP (FRS 102) reporting and experience in accounting for a range of private clients and family office structures
