Purpose of the role:
To support the Local Business Service Manager in delivering high-quality accounting and financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients, with a growing focus on financial services entities (investment funds, SPVs, private client structures) alongside established local commercial clients. The role also contributes to client development, mentoring the other team members, efficiency improvements, and technical quality, supporting the firm’s strategic objective to expand the business generally and its financial services offering.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of accounting clients including local trading and commercial businesses, SPVs, holding companies, private client vehicles and potentially, investment funds and related structures.
- Prepare and review:
- Financial statements (FRS 102, IFRS where applicable).
Skills required:
- Review work prepared by junior staff.
- Ensure outputs are technically accurate, consistent with internal quality standards and delivered on a timely basis.
- Support audit readiness (where clients are audited externally).
