Purpose of the role:
Our client is looking for a self-motivated individual who can work under their own initiative and with the minimum of supervision providing 2nd line support to their ever-increasing customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 2 firewall support on major vendors to include Forcepoint/Sophos/Checkpoint
- Resolve customer queries via ITSM system or escalate accordingly
- Be involved in firewall managed service on-boarding
- Service calls for client problems will be allocated by the SOC Operations Desk
- Project work for installation of new equipment/solutions for customers
Skills required:
- Able to troubleshoot internet connectivity (ping, traceroute, nslookup, ACL’s)
- Understand domain/dc/DNS/DHCP relationship
- Understand NAT/PAT and relation to inbound/outbound internet connectivity
- Good analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply technology knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
