Purpose of the role:
You will assist the Team Director who is responsible for supporting the fiduciary lifecycle on new business from the initial business development to new business take-on.
Responsibilities:
- Identify areas in conjunction with Team Director to improve and control the onboarding and client experience process and implement operational efficiencies, ensuring that the function is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible
- Assist with the development and ongoing maintenance of tools and materials to assist with raising the awareness of the Trust offering to the population, prospective clients, other professional advisors, bankers and investment advisors in support of the business growth strategy
- Participate in ensuring that all new business is considered and accepted in line with risk management framework. Ensure structure specific risks are mitigated as appropriate
- Be involved in projects and change initiatives across the organisation as required. Continually look to identify areas of improvement, standardisation, and increased efficiency to enhance the overall service delivery of the team and Company as a whole to enhance the client experience
- Act as member of the Trust Management Committee and as an ‘B or C’ signatory (depending on experience)
- Comply with all local regulatory requirements (law, codes of practice and guidance), Group and local policies and procedures relevant to the department
Skills required:
- Must hold of table 5 professional qualification (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), International Compliance Association (ICA), Chartered Governance Institute or equivalent) as defined by the Jersey Financial Services Commission
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience of working in a trust and company business environment with a strong understanding of all areas of new business onboarding/take-on
- The ability to work accurately under pressure, independently, and communicate with clarity and purpose both in written and verbal forms, build strong relationships and credibility with key internal stakeholders
- Proficient in the use of a range of Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required and some knowledge of NavOne would be desirable
