Purpose of the role:
You will to be passionate about the ever changing environment of Network and Security infrastructure services, particularly the shift towards Cloud computing, as well as technically expert in a number of key technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of IT Support Services according to relevant and published processes, including delivery to SLA and KPI targets across the team
- Identifies improvements to organisations IT infrastructure in collaboration with wider IT team, ensuring developments are aligned with organisational business and IT strategies
- Ensure that IT infrastructure is designed to support end users and meet the organisation's needs
- Monitors the performance of network and security resources, using customer feedback, to ensure that the most efficient service is provided into the organisation
- Actively leads team through use of appropriate methodologies to ensure that quality targets are met and ways to consistently improve delivery are identified
- Ensures that all services and products to be introduced into the organisation are compliant with organisational and statutory security principles
Skills required:
- IT professional qualifications in line with the technical infrastructure stack e.g: Cisco; HPE; Citrix; Microsoft etc.
- Skilled in the production of strategies and roadmaps that can be used to communicate organisational direction
- Excellent project management skills, with demonstrable experience of leading complex projects with financial and delivery timescales
- Up to date knowledge of industry standards and best practice in network and security
- Excellent understanding of technical change processes, upgrades, paths and release management
