Purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is to support the Jersey Risk & Compliance function’s senior management team in undertaking the above activities. In performing this role, the role holder will have regard to all relevant Laws, Orders, Codes, JTC Group policies, procedures and practices and act to support and protect all the business undertaken in Jersey. The role holder is responsible for identifying and managing risk within the business.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the business compliance and risk strategy and culture; liaising with the senior management team and advising on relevant regulatory matters and best practice within the industry to ensure that business has in place a robust compliance control framework.
- Provide comprehensive advisory, monitoring and control services to the Jersey business to manage compliance within regulatory and internal policies and procedures.
- Play a key role in managing enterprise-wide risk framework for managed trust companies and any other client entities as advised. Monitor and report effectively on key Risk and Compliance indicators. Work closely with the Head of Compliance in management of this framework and ensure it remains fit for purpose on an ongoing basis.
Skills required:
- Previous Risk & Compliance experience.
- Knowledge of current regulatory requirements.
- Broad level of knowledge and experience of compliance monitoring
