Purpose of the role
The Manager will take direct line management responsibility for a team of varying degrees of seniority, supporting and coaching them and working to identify and mitigate risk across their span of control and to ensure high standards of client service. They will have oversight for a large portfolio of trusts, companies and other wealth structures ensuring that first class service is provided to clients, intermediaries and other stakeholders. They may have direct administrative responsibility for trusts, companies or other wealth structures and will through their management of their team ensure that first class service is provided to a portfolio of clients.
Key Accountabilities
- An effective Manager will ensure high quality service to all clients intermediaries and stakeholders to ensure longevity of relationships, providing technical and other support to their team.
- Commercial The Manager will achieve personal and team targets as set out for their role for time recording, utilisation and working capital management.
- Risk The Manager will drive appropriate behaviour and take action to ensure agreed business risk targets are met for their team.
- The Manager will demonstrate effective communication, an ability to challenge and to prioritise, ensuring the objectives and initiatives cascaded from senior management are delivered against deadlines.
Knowledge and Experience
- The successful applicant will have significant industry experience of working with High Net Worth clients and on complex structures within the fiduciary field and will demonstrate first class client service delivering against the needs and demands of high net worth clients both from prior experience and through driving the performance of others.
- The role holder will have demonstrable experience of coaching and supporting colleagues and prior managerial experience is essential.
- The Manager will be expected to support their Director stepping in when required at a more senior level.
