Purpose of the role:
You will be a core member of house legal team working to provide legal advice to the Board and senior management and to work closely with client facing staff and external advisers in relation to legal matters arising in the day-to-day administration of complex high value fiduciary structures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to the boards of companies and the trustees of trusts administered.
- Provide legal advice in relation to trusts, companies and other offshore structures, risk management in relation to the creation and administration of offshore entities, and the drafting and management of legal and technical documentation
- Prepare instructions to external advisers and act as a central point of contact for the engagement of external legal advisers.
Skills required:
- Previous experience held in a law firm or trust business
- Knowledge of trust and company law and (ideally) UK tax law, including a sound knowledge of fiduciary structures and knowledge of fiduciary structures and functions
- Ability to become an expert in new legislation or regulation.
