Purpose of the role:
You will be reporting in the Chief Information Officer for Applications & Data, supporting the client, enterprise, data and QA teams within the Technology department in the planning and tracking of strategic and Business As Usual projects across the Group.
Responsibilities:
- Work with CIO to build out and run the client/enterprise application support, data services and QA IT project planning and management framework
- Project manage all work scheduled across application support (client & enterprise), data services and QA support
- Working with the CIO and IT team leads to establish a centralised planning and project management competence for application support, data services and QA
- Working with team leads to build out project plans, assist with the management of those plans through the complete project life cycle, ensuring all IT processes (i.e. security/change management) are followed and appropriately adhered too
- Provide planning and scheduling updates into the centralised Group change management function
- Work closely with business change agents to ensure IT resources and budgets are aligned to the delivery of business outcomes, creating and overseeing the creation of reporting to Project Sponsors and Project Boards
Skills required:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrating an ability to pitch communications to different audience dynamics
- Ability to assimilate complex business and technical requirements into a coherent planning framework, to then communicate those ideas to both business and technical staff across the Group
- Experience creating/managing IT Management frameworks
- A collaborative approach to communication, especially difficult or challenging updates, to ensure continued collective responsibility and buy in from business partners
- Experience collaborating with teams; supporting the delivery of project goals whilst assisting team leads manage resources against targets
- Strong understanding and compliance with formalised Change Control
