Purpose of the role:
To assist in the process of increasing employee awareness, understanding, and engagement while inspiring communication across multiple channels and supporting change management initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Head of Internal Communications and Engagement and the Change Manager to implement the internal communications, engagement and change related activity
- Co-ordinating the calendar of internal communications campaigns working with subject matter experts (SMEs) and owners of key areas that support the culture, Vision and strategy including CSR, D&I, Wellbeing, Sustainability etc.
- Writing and editing a variety of different and engaging content to support communications campaigns and projects, including Yammer posts, Team Meeting Notes, Oi and microsite content, FAQs, video scripts and recordings and occasional email content
- Using data to produce relevant reports detailing the successes and challenges/weaknesses of communications campaigns, initiatives and strategies
- Supporting the people (particularly SMEs) in their delivery of effective internal communication
- Creating effective creative briefs and working with the marketing team to commission creatives for campaigns and initiatives
Skills required:
- 2+ years' experience in a communications role or similar
- Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of all levels of stakeholders and subject matter experts
- High levels of accuracy in proof reading, drafting and a passion for paying attention to detail
- Superior time management and organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to work both independently, use initiative and equally confident working effectively as part of a team, collaborating and supporting colleagues
