Head of Operations

Purpose of the role:

As Head of Operations, you will lead a team providing technical support where required.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake regular meetings with direct reports to discuss performance and development goals
  • Undertake ad-hoc meetings with direct reports to provide technical support and guidance on operational matters
  • Be responsible for Operation’s delivery of services/work in a timely, accurate and of high quality
  • Ensure that all services provided by the Operations team are excellent
  • Have a positive and solution-orientated approach liaising with local and global colleagues where required
  • Work with internal control functions and external advisors where required
  • Provide guidance and support on technical matters to internal colleagues within TFE
  • Identify and manage risks within the team and escalate any concerns
  • Undertake other ad hoc tasks as requested by the Head of Trust and Head of TF&E
  • Provide accurate reporting on operational matters as requested from time to time

Skills required:

  • A relevant professional qualification e.g. accounting
  • Experience in team leadership
  • A minimum of ten years' experience in Financial Services, ideally with an Operational or Finance focus
  • Knowledge of Trust and Company law and associated accounting practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop close working relationships with both colleagues and clients
