Purpose of the role:
The purpose of this senior Jersey based role is to support the team objectives with particular responsibility for the enhancement, maintenance and implementation of the Jersey financial crime compliance reporting framework (AML/CFT, Proliferation and sanctions) and supporting business responsibilities and ownership of financial crime risk.
Responsibilities:
- Enhancing, maintaining and implementing the financial crime compliance reporting framework and the MLRO framework, covering strategy, policy, process, procedural, standards, objectives, metrics, reporting and governance
- Reporting all financial crime related findings to the relevant internal and company governance structures (as per the reporting framework) and following up on mitigation
- Managing and undertaking high profile and/or sensitive investigations as and when requested to do so
- Monitoring regulatory changes and international best practice in relation to financial crime (AML/CFT, proliferation and sanctions), ensuring that changes are appropriately incorporated in the framework
- Cultivating a positive working relationship with relevant external agencies including the Joint Financial Crime Unit (JFCU)
- Providing specialist advice on financial crime risk AML/CFT, proliferation and sanctions) to the Jersey business and responding to both internal and external reporting enquiries and advising accordingly
