About the role:
The Head of Compliance will oversee and lead the Corporate Services Compliance team, ensuring that excellent service levels and advice is given to clients and internal stakeholders and colleagues. As Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO) and Compliance Officer (CO), the successful candidate will oversee our AML/CFT/CPF framework, act as the primary liaison with regulators, the Jersey Financial Intelligence Unit (“FIU”) and other law enforcement agencies.
Key responsibilities:
• Act as point of escalation for compliance advice to the Corporate Services team
• Oversee CDD reviews for the onboarding and trigger events for investors as required, as well as annual PEP reviews
• Monitor and update internal compliance policies and procedures and controls, ensuring consistency within the operation of the business with regulatory obligations
• Ensure compliance systems are up to date
• Maintain an awareness of industry best practice and developments in relation to applicable regulatory laws/guidance
Key Skills and requirements:
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in Jersey
• Have an excellent understanding Corporate Services/Trust Company Business
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Have a proven record of challenging others
• Sound analytical skill, reasoning and detail-orientation
• Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
