Purpose of the role:
To collaborate with the Senior Management team across the Trust and Fund departments, Client Delivery teams and Tech department in order to design and promote continuous improvement of accounting function, oversee implementation of accounting projects, drive accounts production and timely bookkeeping, advise on complex accounting queries, promote use of technology and improve quality and compliance of the accounting deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Directors, Technical Department and Operations Department on the operational development of accounting function and associated KPIs
- Advise on complex accounting standards and act as a technical expert on a variety of accounting standards including IFRS and FRS 102, keeping up to date with the relevant standards
- Formulate and advocate accounting, bookkeeping, annual review and associated policies, and use of supporting processes
- Design and coordinate such policies and procedures that align with overall strategy, vision and values
- Implement efficient processes and standards
- Coordinate client bookkeeping and accounting deliverables
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory and accounting framework requirements
Skills required:
- Proven significant, successful experience leading an Accounting team in a similar environment
- Qualified Accountant with minimum 7 years PQE
- Working knowledge of industry standard accounting and bookkeeping packages and solutions
- Highly proficient in Ms Excel, Ms Office, Ms Outlook, and PowerPoint, which will be necessary in the creation of financial reports and recommendations
- Familiarity with all types of service lines, including but not limited to private clients, family office, corporate solutions, intermediary relationships, funds, real estate, PE and assets including, financial instruments, debt holding and issuing, marine, aviation and heritage and art
