Purpose of the role:
To manage and deliver the support and development of the firm's business solutions, including management of the business solutions team.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure that resources are matched to priorities and combined with innovative thinking to deliver a highly capable and cost effective business solutions platform to the business
- Manage and coordinate urgent and complicated support issues
- Act as escalation point for all business solutions requests and incidents
- Supervise business solutions staff and participate in hiring, training, mentoring, and coaching, and on-going performance management. Ensure all appropriate support mechanisms are in place to enable them to excel
- Advise management early on situations that may require additional support or escalation. E.g. security incidents/system issues/user concerns
- Manage third party supplier relationships, including the Business solutions team's purchasing and hold approval/budgeting responsibility
- Implement system changes and administer access to systems and information utilising approved security policies, standards and guidelines
- Effectively communicate with all levels of the firm including within the firm as required
- Research and recommend business solutions and database configurations to ensure optimum performance and capability to meet the business needs of the firm
Skills required:
- Degree level education/strong academic results preferred
- Previous experience of working in a business solutions team and people management is required
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the ITIL framework & possess an ITIL qualification
- Demonstrate evidence of successful project management of business solutions system implementations/change projects
- Database management principles and practices
- Project management principles - possess a project management qualification (or be prepared to train towards one)
