Purpose of the role:
You will act as a Key Person for client fund structures as required by Jersey regulations and act as one of the Deputy MLROs for Jersey MLRO.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Compliance to develop, implement and embed an effective fund services business and trust company business compliance framework and procedures to ensure they are maintained and tested in accordance with regulations
- Provide regular compliance monitoring reports for the CO, in addition to timely advice and practical guidance and training for the wider office
- Provide consistent guidance or feedback with respect to Customer/Investor Due Diligence and Enhanced Customer/Investor Due Diligence to the Administration and Review teams
- Maintain various compliance registers
- Assist with external audits and the preparation of Due Diligence audits
- Review prospective new business and/or changes to structures, ensuring that client take-on procedures and adequate CDD requirements are met
Skills required:
- Previous Key Person, or DMLRO
- Degree and/or relevant professional qualification (such as an ICA Certificate or Diploma), with relevant experience at a senior compliance level in the fund services business and trust and company sectors
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to guide and direct others to meet deadlines and targets
