Purpose of the role:
Assist the Manager in the client accounts preparation function in the preparation of year end and interim financial statements together with other financial reporting for a wide range of fund clients with additional involvement in systems projects where applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of interim and year-end financial statements prepared under IFRS, FRS 102, and other accounting standards as required
- Preparation of management accounts and financial reporting
- Preparation of client audit packs and assist to Manager on audit engagements
- Provide support for client teams in the migration of data to operating systems, ensuring accuracy of client financial information where applicable
- Administration control and support for internal systems, including the addition of new ledgers and transactions
- Any ad hoc operational duties as required by the business
Skills required:
- New trainee or Part Qualified member of an accountancy body
- Experience in preparation of financial statements is desirable
- Some knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102 standards is desirable
- Strong IT skills, with an awareness and keen interest in new technologies
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, with excellent attention to detail
- Good flexibility, with the ability to work to time pressure
- Strong analytical and organisational skills are essential
