Purpose of the role:
As the eDiscovery Manager, you will work closely with a Chief Information Security Officer in creating a new innovative eDiscovery service for a global Litigation practice, handling contentious matters and/or investigations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver e-Disclosure projects including e-Discovery, data subject access requests, freedom of information requests, statutory, regulatory & corporate investigations
- Handle the day-to-day management of digital evidence and datasets, including the maintenance of chain-of-custody records and the coordination of collections, receipts and deliveries of devices
- Carry out project management tasks with respect to individual investigations and electronic disclosure exercises, including, but not limited, to preparation of review batches, formulation of searches and implementation of updates to project workspaces
- Liaise with external electronic disclosure and translation service providers, and with internal IT and Legal Risk Management teams
- Provide user support to internal and client users working with document review tools, file-sharing platforms and extranets
- Work with the relevant teams on the planning of investigations and disclosure exercises
Skills required:
- Familiarity with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)
- Qualifications and/or experience in using industry recognised eDiscovery platforms like Relativity, Nuix or Intella Connect
- Experience in working with electronic evidence and managing electronic disclosure projects gained through working in a law firm or an e-disclosure services provider
- Able to demonstrate a problem solving approach utilising clear and effective communication, whilst working independently
- Able to communicate and understand the requirements of this role's stakeholders: lawyers, IT specialists and disclosure service providers
