Dispute Resolution Support

Purpose of the role:

You will be responsible for the provision of administrative support for a broad range of litigation matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeping folders up to date with pleadings and client documentation
  • Proofreading/amending documentation
  • Drafting simple letters for serving and filing documents and preparing documentation as required
  • Carry out conflict checks
  • Preparing bundles and filling them with court
  • Billing of private criminal cases
  • Allocate an Advocate or Legal Adviser to attend Police Headquarters
  • Liaise with States of Jersey Police and Customs and Immigration to request, Download and reviewing disclosure
  • Updating files and client
  • Liaise with the Probation Service to follow up on probation/psychological/psychiatric reports

Skills required:

  • Graduate preferred
  • Excellent academics
  • Have excellent organisational, analytical and IT skills, specifically excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Professional or Pdf Docs
  • Be able to work under pressure with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written skills
