About the role:
The Director, Compliance Advisory EMEA is a key leadership position within the Global R&C Team and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of regulatory compliance for the Legal and Global businesses in the EMEA region with the aim of ensuring that our client meets its regulatory obligations and conforms to industry best practices and professional standards
Key responsibilities:
- Assume and/or directly oversee Key Person roles and responsibilities for regulated Ogier entities in Jersey
- Support the Boards and Senior Management in maintaining compliance with all regulatory and legal obligations affecting the firm across the various EMEA jurisdictions in which our client operates.
- Ensure Boards and senior management remain informed of regulatory, legislative and best practice changes and their obligations under these changes and how they impact the Group
- Provide a significant contribution to the strategic direction of the firm on risk and compliance matters.
- Achieve and maintain an understanding and knowledge of Regulatory and Compliance requirements in EMEA jurisdictions where is currently operating or intends to have a presence.
Skills and experience:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in similar roles with an exemplary record of performance;
- Will hold a recognised and relevant professional qualification.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to TCB and FSB business in Jersey.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for other EMEA jurisdictions and ability to apply this knowledge in practice is desirable but not essential;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to influence and inform and to challenge constructively where necessary;
- Good analytical and organisational skills and ability to prioritise work load and meet tight deadlines
