Purpose of the role:
Reporting to the Corporate Governance Manager, this role's primary objective is to be responsible for providing exceptional board support, secretarial services and other corporate governance related duties to the various in-house entities across the Group, primarily working on the legal side of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Provide corporate governance support to the in-house entities ensuring the business continues to operate to high standards of corporate governance, as agreed
- Assist with filings or notifications to the relevant regulatory authorities including ensuring that corporate records are updated as appropriate
- Provide ad-hoc support to the Directors of the in-house entities and liaise with other departments and third parties, as required
- Act as four eyes check within the team, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures, as appropriate
- Deal with correspondence and administrative matters from external service providers, including CDD requests
- Contribute to the business as a whole by identifying improvements in processes, policies and procedures
- Assist the team with team-specific reporting on business service levels
- Undertake any project work as required, undertaking initiatives identified and designated from time to time
Skills required:
- Previous industry experience and/or professional practice with relevant qualifications, ideally ICSA/STEP/ACCA
- Knowledge of the operations of a legal business is an advantage but not essential
- Knowledge of regulatory environments an advantage but not essential
- Strong technical skills and service delivery
