Purpose of the role:
Lead and manage the Compliance Monitoring team which is responsible for designing and implementing the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP), for the Guernsey, Jersey and UK regulated entities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Compliance Monitoring team - approx. 5/6fte
- Ensure the completion of the CMP in a timely manner in accordance with defined timeframes and support the team in, writing reports summarising the scope and the outcomes of the monitoring reviews
- Perform a quality assurance review of the monitoring undertaken and the reporting prepared by the team
- Support the Compliance Officers with the preparation of the business and client reports providing the relevant outcomes of the CMP
- In conjunction with the appropriate forum ensure that actions identified as a result of the CMP are tracked and completed to the satisfaction of the relevant Board
Skills required:
- Experience within a compliance role within the financial services sector would be advantageous
- Good working knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft products, in particular Outlook, Word and Excel
- Self-motivated and capable of prioritising and organising workloads as required
- A detailed understanding of, and experience with, performing compliance monitoring activities within a financial services company
- Good knowledge of the regulatory environment across the Channel Islands and UK
- A university degree or equivalent in relevant subjects or an equivalent professional qualification
