Purpose of the role:
As the Compliance Associate, you will ensure that the Jersey business and operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership and management of allocated tests within the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP)
- Collating and analysing compliance data to ensure compliance monitoring reviews are undertaken within required timeframes as set out in the testing programme and associated CMP monitoring required for regulated Fund Clients, for delivery to both Local and Group Compliance
- Liaison with business where required following the results of the CMP testing and documenting queries/issues raised, ensuring employees are requested to provide responses in good time to allow Head of Compliance to review
- Ability to identify perceived risks to the business highlighted by the CMP tests and communicate these to Head of Compliance
- Assist with the drafting and updating of CMP tests and collation of data to assist with AML Reports for client entities.
Skills required:
- Educated to at A level or equivalent
- Previous experience of CMP testing and local AML requirements/obligations
- Previous experience of client screening and monitoring activities
- Self-motivated with an appetite to learn
- Effective communication skills
- Planning and organisational skills
