Purpose of the role:
To efficiently manage a high-quality support and development team, to deliver the firm's technology platform across a blend of cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Projects team to determine project scope and staff resources required to complete all projects that have a technology impact
- Support the Project team in efficient delivery of projects by providing technology leadership, escalation and decision making
- Manage the procurement process, installation, and configuration of all hardware and related upgrades. Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for cloud & infrastructure projects & initiatives
- Define and manage IT Governance - ensure policies, processes and procedures meet client security and audit requirements, and reduce risk levels in the operation of the firm's infrastructure and networks
- Build, develop, and lead a highly skilled Technology team, providing support for delivery of their duties including hiring, training, mentoring and coaching, and on-going performance management
- Effectively communicate with all levels of the Group including presentations to senior leadership and the technology team as required
Skills required:
- Managed similar sized financial budgets for technology
- Degree level education/strong academic results preferred
- Leading high performance teams delivering services migrating to and based in the cloud
- Developing operating models and governance structures to support on-premises and cloud-based technology services
- Demonstrable evidence of successful change management in the delivery of a technology roadmap
- Strong understanding of ITIL principles in the delivery of high-quality managed services to a global organisation
