Purpose of the role:
To be responsible for all aspects of the client service of a group of real estate and private equity funds.
Responsibilities:
- Being the principal contact with the Client and the Directors of the relevant boards in relation to all accounting and administrative aspects
- Liaising with lawyers, tax advisers, other administrators and regulatory authorities in relation to ad hoc transactions
- Managing the investor query flow and responding to complex queries that arise
- Reviewing and authorisation of payments and assisting with other general administrative matters
- Overseeing the audit process and liaising with external independent auditors in connection with the financial reporting process and sign-off, including assisting with the resolution of complex accounting matters and audit queries (if the candidate is a qualified accountant)
Skills required:
- Professional qualification, including in the accountancy field (e.g. ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent) or chartered secretary (e.g. ICSA or equivalent)
- Real estate or private equity accounting exposure
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel (intermediate level)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, strategic thinking and leadership experience with an emphasis on relationship management
- The ability to communicate at all levels
