Purpose of the role:
You will be part of a growing team, attending and updating client entity boards on AML/CFT matters, assist with analysing new legal and regulatory requirements and supporting a culture of compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Attend and update the client entity boards on AML/CFT and regulatory compliance systems and controls
- Draft and review of regulatory reporting to be delivered to client entity boards
- Report periodically, as appropriate, to the client entity boards on compliance with its systems and controls (including any associated AML Manual) and issues that need to be brought to its attention
- Utilising the format set by the Head of Client Compliance Services, supply a quarterly compliance report in connection with your role as MLCO/MLRO
- Assist with monitoring compliance with, and testing the effectiveness of AML/CFT policies and procedures on a risk-based approach
- Manage and consider SARs raised on client entities for which you act as MLRO or DMLRO
- Support the completion of the Business Risk Assessment in consultation with client entity boards
Skills required:
- Evidenced experience in a Compliance and/or Risk management position within a regulated TCB and/or Funds Services business
- A strong working knowledge of AML/KYC and relevant regulatory/supervisory laws and regulations
- Solid understanding of the Jersey Private Fund Guide, Code of Practice for Certified Funds, Code of Practice for Fund Services Business and the Alternative Investment Funds Code of Practice and its implementation
- Ability to draft, update and amend policies and procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring consultation with stakeholders where appropriate
- Experience of dealing with the identification, testing and implementation of systems, controls and policies and procedures to adequately meet the needs of regulated client entities
