Purpose of the role:
As a Technical Accounting expert, the Client Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of the work of the client accounting team efficiently, accurately and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the team’s work plan, as set out by the Senior Manager and/or Associate Director, is followed, monitored and managed
- Manage and oversee the completion of accurate Financial Statements for specific trust and company clients, to encompass audited accounts
- Oversee and manage overall process of bookkeeping of ledgers, in order to assist the Regulatory Reporting Team with the accurate reporting of CRS and FATCA in a timely manner
- Monitor the application of departmental procedures and implement changes when and where required for compliance with internal, specific regulatory and statutory requirements
- Identifying issues and taking appropriate measures to resolve them
- Provide support to Senior Management, as required, to include performance management and development, reward and remuneration and engagement and motivation
Skills required:
- Qualified accountant holding ACCA, ACA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Minimum of 4 years people management experience
- Knowledge of Jersey trust law/practice
- Fully conversant with both manual and computerised accounting systems
- Excellent working knowledge of spreadsheet applications
