Purpose of the role:
You will provide support to the Jersey Investment Funds team, reporting to the Head of Business Development.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of the BD & Marketing plan for Jersey Funds and for the facilitation of all subsequent business development activities
- The implementation of a key client, intermediary, and target client listening programme
- Provide guidance and support for all BD and marketing activity within your funds, but also with reference to coordination with other practice areas/offices and Guernsey Funds on joint BD initiatives where relevant
- Drawing on the resources of the central Marketing Operations and Communications team as required, to assist in the implementation of the BD & Marketing plan for funds including coordination of their legal directory and Monterey submissions
- Developing excellent working relationships with key partners and stakeholders in the Jersey funds practice area and in support of the Head of Business Development
Skills required:
- Demonstrable knowledge of marketing concepts
- Able to demonstrate a progressive career with a focus on business development elements
- Project management skills: ability to manage and prioritise tasks, time, budgets, and people in order to meet deadlines
- Strong commercial acumen: awareness and appreciation of the importance of return on Marketing investment
- Proficient in the main Microsoft applications
- Strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to maintain focused on objectives, developing excellent working relationships with the partners, fee earners and support staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Preferably 3 years' Business Development and Marketing experience, Legal services experience preferable but not essential
- You should be degree qualified (ideally covering business or marketing related subjects) or hold the Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma in Marketing or equivalent
