Our client is seeking a strategic, commercially minded Business Development & Marketing Manager/Director to drive revenue growth, market positioning, and brand visibility. This dual-role leader will oversee business development initiatives, manage end-to-end marketing strategy, and build strong internal and external partnerships to support the organisation’s long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce an annual business development plan / go-to-market strategy with a business development calendar / travel plan.
- Ensure the targeted business is within the strategic risk appetite.
- Focus on a sales process that maximises the conversion rate on enquiries generated.
- Ensure Dynamics is utilised fully and consistently updated so that MI is maximised and up to date.
- Own Pitch Portal and overall responsibility for the preparation of proposals for new business.
- Generally, act in a manner that builds and maintains strong productive relationships.
- Maintain existing intermediary relationships and build new ones, reporting on the same via Dynamics and providing support to them throughout the onboarding journey.
- Draft proposals / emails / engagement letters for prospective clients.
- Prepare and assist in the delivery of external sales presentations as required, including the preparation of pitch documents and key onboarding documents.
- Coordinate and on occasions attend external meetings with new and existing contacts to support business development efforts.
- Ensure new clients are informed of due diligence and other new client acceptance requirements.
Skills required:
- Table 4 Qualification.
- At least 10 years of experience within a Trust company business, preferably international.
- To undertake relevant training to meet all regulatory requirements and professional standards, including, but not limited to, specific AML / CFT / CPF / cyber training.
- Proven experience in business development, marketing, or a combined commercial leadership role.
- Strong track record of achieving revenue targets and landing strategic clients.
- Experience developing and delivering integrated marketing strategies.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms.
