Purpose of the role:
To support the Senior Compliance Officer, in the effective management and execution of the compliance programme and adherence to the laws and regulations to which the Group in Jersey is subject.
Responsibilities:
- Act as principal point of contact for employees on day-to-day regulatory matters
- Ensure appropriate monitoring of operational performances and managing regulatory and compliance risk
- Monitoring internal policies and procedures are being consistently and effectively adhered to
- Assessing and recommending amendments to internal systems and controls as well as policies, and procedures to facilitate compliance with the regulatory framework
- Promptly instigating actions to remedy and deficiencies in the robust arrangements
- Providing regular written reports to the Board of Directors of the Registered Person in respect of compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Skills required:
- 7 years’ relevant Finance industry experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the compliance environment
- Table 4 qualification
