Purpose of the role:
Within this role, you will support the development and execution of a comprehensive programme of review, monitoring and reporting on all internal procedural and regulatory aspects of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a key control programme supporting the Group as a subject matter expert in its rollout
- Drive and undertake key control testing as a second line of defence, assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of tests to identify deficiencies and suggesting improvements
- Identify topics for Group-wide thematic reviews of the business to gain a holistic view of compliance and the effectiveness of risk management and lead such reviews
- Assist in the design execution of risk assessments and report on findings
- Undertake reporting to ensure risks are understood and that matters are addressed or escalated as appropriate
- Undertake post-implementation testing to ensure that remediation/new regulations have been effectively implemented and are operating to the expected outcomes and standards
Skills required:
- Table 5 qualification
- ICA Certificate in AML awareness or other relevant qualification
- ICA Certificate or Diploma in Compliance or AML
- ICA Diploma
- Studying towards a Table 4 qualification
- 5 years’ relevant finance industry experience
- At least 3 years’ experience within the compliance environment
